LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced a nine-day holiday for Daanish schools on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, starting from April 6.
In a notification issued on Saturday, the state authorities said that Daanish Schools in the state will remain closed from April 6 to April 14.
Traditionally, Eid holidays start a day earlier than the anticipated date to allow enough time for individuals to prepare and take part in the joyous celebrations.
With the government reportedly considering a four-day holiday starting between April 9 (Tuesday) and April 12 (Friday), along with the usual Saturday and Sunday weekend holidays observed by government and offices selected private, the total holiday period is expected. spanning six days, according to state-run APP.
However, the final decision regarding the holiday schedule remains subject to consultations with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and other relevant authorities.
