Cyber fraud incidents are becoming common in Chandigarh. Even educated people are victims of this fraud. A similar incident happened with a student of Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh. Where cyber thieves extorted Rs 1,55,600 from a student in the name of getting her a job.

After this, the student complained about this to Chandigarh Cyber Cell and Cyber Cell took action in the matter and registered a case against an unknown person under sections of fraud.
A job posting came online on Google
In the complaint given to Chandigarh Cyber Cell, the victim said that she received a message from an unknown number on WhatsApp on April 24. In that message she offered me an online job at Google. He said you have to review on Google and you get paid per task. I then asked for proof and they sent me a screenshot of that payment.
You will get Rs 50 per task
According to the victim, he said you can try once. Do the first task and we will pay you 205 on the first task, then 50 per task. He completed the first task and they sent him the money. After that he did 3 more tasks and sent 150 for them.
Sent a link to join Telegram After that he sent a link to join Telegram channel after Task 7. They asked you to join the prepaid task and said the money will come to your account after winning the task this.
After that he deposited Rs 1000 for the first time, then Rs 3000 and for the third time Rs 9100. After that he asked to deposit 25,000 for prepaid work and said you will get the bonus in 5 minutes. After some time again he said you will have to deposit more money or you won’t get the bonus. But even after that neither the bonus nor the money came.
