Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that two doctors of the Sassoon General Hospital were arrested for allegedly tampering with the minor’s blood samples and destroying evidence. Among those arrested was the head of the hospital’s legal department. Those arrested were identified as Dr. Ajay Tower and Dr. “R. Srihari Harlor. The crime branch is currently investigating the issue.
Took a blood sample from another person
The senior officer said, ‘On May 19, at around 11 am, the blood sample taken at Sassoon Hospital was thrown into the hospital’s dustbin and another person’s blood sample was taken and sent to the forensic laboratory. Business Administration Director Dr. Srihari Harloor altered this blood sample. During the investigation we discovered that it was altered by Srihari Helenur at the behest of AJ Tower, Director of the Department of Forensic Medicine at Shashon.
