Prime Minister Modi summed up the Congress manifesto in an exclusive interview with News 18 – News18 Kannada Achi-News

All over the country the Lok Sabha election fever is increasing day by day. The first phase of the elections in Karnataka has already been completed and the counting of days for the second phase of the elections has started. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a special interview to News 18 Network. In this, he spoke about many other issues including questions related to Karnataka politics. Modi also strongly criticized the Congress manifesto and mentioned that he was waiting for the media report. Here is an extract from this

Question: At a rally in Rajasthan, the AAP directly attacked the Congress manifesto. You said they have a plan where they want to distribute the money. You said they want to find out who has savings, who has money, who has gold and silver and distribute it between Muslims and infiltrators. Is this threat true?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi: Regarding the Congress party manifesto, can anyone tell me whether political parties release manifestos during elections or are they visible only? It is the job of the media to read the manifesto of every political party. I was waiting for the media’s response on this. I had commented on the manifesto on the first day itself. After looking at the manifesto it appears to have a Muslim League stamp.

I thought the media would be shocked. But he kept saying what the Congress presented. It seems like a big scam of the ecosystem and I felt I should bring the truth out. I waited 10 days for someone to point out the ill effects of the manifesto because I thought it would be better if it was presented impartially. But finally, I had to reveal these truths myself.

Question: A 2006 video went viral in which Manmohan Singh claimed that poor Muslims had the first right over resources. He has stated this clearly. The manifesto said that OBCs should be given as part of reservation for Muslims. Between 2004-2014, he has tried to do this four or five times.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi: You have asked a very interesting question. The answer will be long but I have to tell you in the interest of the country. See Congressional History. This demand has been increasing since the 1990s. There is a very large part of society in the country who felt that something should be done for them, and for that there was a protest. Before 1990, Congress was totally opposed to it and stopped it. Then they formed some commissions, formed some committees, whose reports also started coming in favor of ABA. He continued to deny, reject and suppress these ideas. But after the 90s, because of vote bank politics, the feeling was that something should be done.

So what was the first sin they committed? In the 90s they decided to classify Muslims as OBCs in Karnataka. So first they suppressed and disparaged this idea, but for political gain they gave the label OBC to Muslims. The Congress was kicked out from the Centre. The project was delayed until 2004.

When the Congress came back in 2004, it immediately decided to give OBC quota to Muslims in Andhra Pradesh. Matters became complicated in court. The Indian Parliament had decided to reserve 27 percent for OBCs as per the original intention of the Constitution. Now, they tried to grab this 27 percent quota.

In 2006, there was a meeting of the National Development Council where Singh’s statement caused a huge uproar. He remained silent for two years. He mentioned it again in the manifesto of 2009. In 2011, there was a cabinet note where they decided to give OBC share to Muslims. He tried this in UP elections too but to no avail.

The Andhra High Court had quashed it in 2012. It went to the Supreme Court, where it was also not relieved. The 2014 manifesto also talked about detention on the basis of religion. There was no RSS or BJP when the Constitution of India was formed. Great men like Pandit Nehru, Baba Saheb Ambedkar were present there. After thinking a lot who decided that reservation cannot be given on the basis of religion in a country like India.

Look at his manifesto for the 2024 elections. It bears the seal of the Muslim League. The way they violate the constitution, the way they insult Ambedkar, SC and ST reservations are in danger. Shouldn’t the people of the country be informed about this? I believe that it is the responsibility of all the learned who are rich in knowledge, impartially to educate this country and inform them of the right things.
