The local people of Baria Manpur constituency number 24 of Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency on Sunday announced to boycott the polling to be held on June 1. On Sunday, local villagers, men and women of Ward No. 24 took to the streets and demonstrated fiercely.

People stay at home

Local people said that the biggest problem in Manpur Bairia of Ward No. 24 is dilapidated roads and water logging. Due to the lack of a proper drainage system, people have to be under house arrest for many days during the rainy season. Local people said that the road here is completely broken. Rohit Kumar of the locality said that the local residents have been demanding the road for 15 years.

People have problems

Due to the lack of a proper drainage system, dirty water flows from the house onto the roads. Due to this, people face a lot of trouble in commuting to work and students in going to school. Local people said that people feel neglected in this area which has about 4000 voters. People facing problems decided to boycott voting on Sunday.
