Making a statement on social media, Karthik, who was MP Hasan’s driver, said he had worked with Prajwal for 15 years, but there had been no meeting between the two in the last one year. Keeping his distance from Prajwal, Karthik said, ‘My land was taken from me and my wife was beaten. I went through mental torture. After that I quit my job and started fighting to get my land back. Karthik further said that he approached Devaraj Gowda for justice while fighting against the Dev Gowda family. Let us tell you that Devaraj Gowda contested the 2023 assembly elections on a BJP ticket from Holnarasipura assembly constituency. During this period he was defeated by Rabana.

Karthik says that Debraj Gowda has betrayed him. It is also said that after the alliance of BJP and JD-S, Dewar Gowda asked the party high command not to give ticket to Prajjwal.
