The district police administration has been alert for the Lok Sabha elections. On Friday, district police officers and workers were deployed in polling booths and on patrolling and checking duty. All the police officers and workers on election duty were given instructions relating to the election and sent for duty. SP Surendra Bhoria said that during the Lok Sabha elections, Section 144 was imposed by the district administration within a radius of 200 meters from the polling booth. Therefore, it is forbidden to carry any type of weapon, publicity material or any other questionable item near the polling booths. If any person is found to be violating Section 144, action will be taken against him. Before sending the police personnel, the SP took a meeting in the police line. He said to keep an eye on the activities of anti-social elements in the area. Officers should patrol the area continuously along with the police and maintain peace and order.
