A migrant worker from Odisha was arrested for pushing a TTE from a moving train in Valpaya Thrissur, Kerala. The incident took place on Tuesday evening when TTE Vinod was checking tickets from a passenger in S11 bus of Ernakulam-Patna Express when the accused pushed him off the train when he was asking for the ticket.
The accused is in police custody
The police said that the accused has been identified as Rajnikanth, a resident of Ganjam, Odisha. The accused is now in police custody. In fact, the accused traveled by train without a ticket. The TTE only asked him to pay the fine, due to which he got angry and pushed the TTE. 48-year-old TTE Vinod died on the spot.
It was reported that a train coming at high speed from the opposite direction ran over the victim. An FIR was lodged on Wednesday morning. According to the FIR, the accused pushed the TTE with the sole intention of killing him. Thrissur Railway Police registered a case based on the complaint of some passengers. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
