City 42: In the by-election of Punjab Assembly Constituency PP 36, Muslim League-N won the battle, Sunni Unity Council candidate faced defeat. This seat was vacated by an independent candidate belonging to Tehreek-e-Insaf, but the influential candidate of PTI and Sunni Ittehad Council could not get this seat back in the by-election.
Inconclusive and unofficial results were obtained from all the polling stations of the by-election in Wazirabad Constituency PP 36. PML-N’s Adnan Afzal Chatta was declared successful with 74779 votes. Fayyaz Chatta of Sunni Ittehad Council came second with 58,682 votes. Bashir Ali of Tehreek-e-Labaik came third with 2547 votes.
PP 36 has a total of 185 polling stations and the number of voters is 3 lakh 18 thousand 544.
