The facility will be built on the site of the former Arthurelli Family Center on Roebank Drive and will serve the St. Mark’s Center.
The site has been empty since the demolition of the family center buildings.
The works will include changes to access to the site, including the construction of new paths within the site.
These will also connect to the existing footpaths and carriageway on Roebank Drive.
The works will also include the installation of a surface water drainage system and the construction of street lighting within the parking area.
In the past, a planning permit was approved for a smaller parking lot on the site, but a new planning application was required for the proposed new layout, which includes a drop-off area as well as parking spaces.
The planners have not yet announced a decision on the proposals.
