The government is spending Rs 2900 crore to overcome the water crisis in Ashoknagar district. Rajghat Dam water will reach Ashoknagar and Guna villages through the pipeline. Work has also been going on for 3 years. The PHE department has also supplied tap water to 128 villages under the tap water scheme.

.

When Bhaskar’s team reached the village, the reality was shocking. There are 196 schemes being run under Jal Jeevan Mission in the district, of which 164 have been completed. The department claims that 128 schemes are active. In the villages, 1 lakh liter and 2 lakh liter tanks have been prepared at a cost of Rs 14 lakh and Rs 18 lakh respectively, but there is no source to fill them with water.

Because of this, it became just an exhibition. Two types of taps have been installed to provide water to the houses, out of which 3 thousand has been spent on the CC tap and Rs 2100 has been spent on the mud tap, but the condition of the taps this in the villages as before the water entered them, which fell and broke. In many places, tap connections were placed in the drain itself.

Khirka Tanka: Display tank worth 14 lakhs, salary left for water

Khirka Tanka Village is a rocky area, 35 km from the district headquarters. The tank worth Rs 14 lakh has become a showcase here. The women of the village said that if water came into them then we would have little interest in wandering in the afternoon. We are going to die. If you go to fill up water, you will lose your salary. If you don’t work, how will your children be brought up? There are tap structures in the village but there is not even a drop of water in them.

Sehrai: Water is carried from 1.5 km away

If we talk about Sehrai, the residents living on both sides of this main road have to go to the fields 1 to 2 km away for water. The reason for this is that the pipeline was laid here but the pipeline was dug up during the road construction Even after more than a year, the pipeline has not been laid yet because more than 80 families are wandering for water .

Achalgarh: No water even in Sarpanch’s house

A new 2 lakh liter water tank costing Rs 18 lakh is being constructed in Achalgarh Panchayat. Taps are installed in every house here. Even covered them with CC but not a single drop of water came out. Villagers said that we have to buy water at the rate of Rs 400 here. Sarpanch Pati said that water is not coming at all. Only tapes are installed. At the same time, the only well in Bamori Tanka village has very little muddy water. Vinitabai, Devabai and Poonam from the village say that they come to the well every day to fill water. She keeps this water for a whole day to clean it and then uses it to drink.

Where there is a problem, you get bored there.

Now I’ve seen everything. There weren’t many dull machines, one or two machines worked. Wherever problems arise, they make people bored. Misery is happening in Achalgarh. , Manish Dhangar, Deputy Collector and PHE in-charge
