PIA’s Karachi booking office records increased revenue Achi-News

KARACHI: The booking office of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has experienced a notable increase in revenue, attributed to its improved service offering, ARY News reported on Sunday.

Sources close to the development revealed that the national airline’s booking office witnessed a significant increase in revenue, totaling Rs 99 crore, stating that PIA’s improved services have restored passenger confidence.

Sources revealed that the PIA Karachi office has seen ticket revenue of Rs 1.3 billion.

A team led by PIA Head Office GM Muhammad Shafiq recently visited the Karachi booking office where he praised the team for its outstanding performance, which has resulted in a significant increase in revenue.

PIA expressed appreciation for the increase in revenue, especially from foreign passengers, which signals a positive trend for the airline.

Mukhtiar Ali Abbasi, Card Manager at the Karachi office, provided a comprehensive briefing to the head office staff detailing the exceptional performance of the office.

The briefing highlighted PIA’s commitment to service excellence, with the airline now offering a wide range of online booking facilities to passengers.

In addition, special facilities are provided for international passengers, reflecting PIA’s dedication to enhancing the passenger experience.

PIA recently announced that it will start its Haj flights from May 9 and will continue till June 10, 2024.

According to the spokesperson, PIA will operate direct flights to Jeddah and Medina this year from eight cities in Pakistan, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Kuta, Sialkot and Sukkur.

In announcing the Hajj flight operation, the PIA spokesperson claimed that the national airline would assist about 34,000 pilgrims, through 170 flights, from May 9 to June 10, 2024.

A spokesperson for the national airline confirmed that a total of 19,000 pilgrims from the government scheme and 15,000 private pilgrims will travel through the PIA.
