Voting was held for the first time on Friday in 56 new booths in the Naxal-heavy areas of Bastar Lok Sabha. For the first time, in the elections held for the largest panchayat in the country, the people there voted in their own village. Darbhaguda, Devaras, Sitapal, Siganpur are such villages where major Naxal incidents have taken place in the past. Only Naxalites ruled these villages. But on Friday, a large number of people turned out to vote to select their preferred MP to bring Buster’s voice to Delhi.
It is said that the poll parties have already reached these cells.
