RCB won today’s crucial match as part of IPL 2024. In this match held at Dharamshala venue, Punjab defeated Kings in a big way. In the mammoth chase of 242 runs set by RCB, Team Punjab was bowled out for 181 runs. With that, the Bangalore team won by 60 runs.
The Punjab team got a shock at the start of the chase. Prabhasimran was dismissed for 6 runs in the first over. But then Riley Russo (61) coming to the crease scored a brilliant half-century. He hit 9 fours and 3 sixes in 27 balls and got out after playing a huge ball. After the dismissal of the aggressive Rousseau, Punjab’s tally fell.
Jonny Bairstow (27), Shashank Singh (37) and captain Sam Curran (22) scored runs. Among the RCB players, Mohammad Siraj took three wickets while Swapanil Singh, Yash Dayal, Lucky Ferguson and Karan Sharma took two wickets each.
