Pakistan’s 15-member squad announced for the T20 World Cup Achi-News

Lahore (Web Desk) The Pakistan Cricket Board selection committee has announced the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

According to the announcement made by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the 15-member Pakistan cricket team for the ICCT Twenty World Cup has been announced, which includes these players.

Included are Babar Azam (Captain), Saeem Ayub, Muhammad Rizwan, Fakhrzaman, Azam Khan, Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Aamir, Abbas Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed.

Usman Khan, Azam Khan, Abrar Ahmed, Abbas Afridi and Saeem Ayub will play the T20 World Cup for the first time.

The statement issued by the selection committee said that the team is balanced which includes experienced and young cricketers.

He said that fast bowler Haris Rauf is fitter and his role in the T20 World Cup will be very important.

The announcement of the national team for the T20 World Cup was to be made this evening, but the PCB chairman delayed the announcement of the team for a few hours expressing his displeasure at the action of the national selection committee.

He said that not all the selectors agree on the team that was chosen for the T20 World Cup, so the announcement is expected after the selectors’ consultation again by 7 o’clock today.

Pakistan has been included in Group A of ICCT20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies.

Along with Pakistan, traditional rivals India, Ireland, Canada and USA are also present in Group A.

Pakistan will play its first match in the team competition against hosts USA on June 6.

The match between Pakistan and India will be played in New York on June 9.

Pakistan and Canada will compete in the event on June 11, while the Green Shirts will play their final group game against Ireland on June 16.
