Voting will be held today in four seats of the first phase in Bihar, Aurangabad, Nawada, Gaya and Jamui. 38 candidates are in the fight for all four seats. Voting will begin at 7am at 6,097 Polimba booths.
76 lakh 16 thousand 29 voters will participate in the first phase of voting. Out of which 39 lakh 63 thousand 230 are male voters, the number of female voters is 36 lakh 38 thousand 151. While the number of the third gender is 255. Chief Electoral Officer of the Election Department, HR Srinivas, said that all preparations have been made to conduct peaceful voting.
Voting will start from 7 am
Voting will begin at 7 am in 24 constituencies of four Lok Sabha seats. Voting will be held in Naxal affected areas till 4:00 PM. In the first phase, 15 assembly seats are Naxal affected. 153 companies of the security forces were deployed here. Voting will take place in these centers until 16:00. whereas in 9 meetings, the votes will be transferred until 18:00.
Voting will take place until 18:00 at the Sheikhupura meeting in Jamui, reserved seat. Voting will be held till 4 pm in the remaining five polling stations of Tarpur, Sikandra, Jamui, Jaja and Chakai constituencies.
Meanwhile, in the three assembly constituencies of Nawada parliamentary seat, Barbiga, Hisua and Barsliganj, voting will be held till 6 pm, while in the polling centers of Rajaoli, Hisua and Gobindpur, voting will be held till 4 pm.
In the reserved seat of Gaya, voting will be held in three assembly seats Gaya Town, Belganj and Wazirganj from 7 am to 6 pm, while in Saragati, Barchaty and Boda Gaya, voting will be held till 4 pm only.
Voting will be held only in Aurangabad Assembly seat of Aurangabad Parliament seat between 7 am to 6 pm. Voting for the remaining 5 seats will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Voting will take place between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM at the polling stations of Kutumb Rafiganj, Guruva Imagenj and Thikri.

6,097 polling stations were built
HR Srinivas said a total of 9,484 voting units were used in the first phase. While, the same number of control unit keys will also be used. He said 10,000 274 VVPATs would also be installed.
The head of the elections said that in the first phase 6,000 polling stations were made, where the franchise will be exercised. The number of municipal polling stations is smaller. Polling stations were established in 5,000,490 rural areas. Voting will take place in 607 polling stations in urban areas.
