Dhanbad Railways has made changes in the eligibility of wards of railway employees undergoing treatment in empaneled hospitals. Now only those with a basic salary above Rs 50,500 will be entitled to a private ward for treatment. Earlier, private ward was available to those with basic salary above Rs 63,101. While railway employees with basic pay of Rs 36,501 to Rs 50,500 will be entitled to treatment in semi-private wards in the listed hospitals. While those with basic pay up to Rs 36,500 will be entitled to general ward. The Railway Board Health Director issued the notification on Friday with the permission of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
