Till now we know Paytm as an online transaction app..We know it is a digital platform for making cash transactions through UPI…Now Paytm is also joining the riding sector. That means it is gearing up to provide auto rides like Ola and Uber companies.

If you are going anywhere in metro cities like Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai, now you can book a car not only through Ola and Uber but also through Paytm. The tour will start in other metro cities in the coming days. Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has entered the ride-hailing space to compete with Ola and Uber. This ride hailing feature in the Paytm app is currently being tested. Available to certain users only.

Car booking with Nammayatri support

When booking a car through the Paytm app, the feature will appear as Powered by Nammayathri. That means this feature works with Namyayatri support. Nammayatri acts as an app in this transaction. In the last two years, it has conducted 3.73 crore rides through Nammayatri in seven cities including Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru. Through this, cars ran a ride every week. Now he also starts booking cabs. Cabin can also be booked through Paytm in the coming days.

Paytm E-commerce Private Limited now known as Pai Platforms .. had earlier ventured into e-commerce by launching an app called Paytm Mall. In early 2018, Alibaba raised $400 million from investors such as SoftBank at a valuation of more than $2 billion. But the venture failed as Alibaba sold its entire stake in the company for over Rs 100 crore in 2022.
