Electric vehicle manufacturer Okaya EV is going to launch its new Disruptor electric bike on May 2nd. The company developed it in collaboration with the luxury brand Ferrato. The company claims that the electric bike will run one kilometer for 25 paise and will have a range of 129 km on a full charge.

Okaya will sell the electric bikes from premium dealerships. For this purpose, the company plans to open more than 100 showrooms. The company has started pre-ordering the upcoming bikes. The first 1000 customers can book it on Ferrato’s official website by paying a nominal fee of Rs 500. After that, the order will cost Rs 2,500.

Disc brakes will be available with ABS on both wheels.
Not much information has been revealed about the design and features of Okaya’s upcoming e-bike disruptor. The company recently released silhouette images of the bike.

The muscular tank of the bike is seen in this. For suspension on the e-bike, traditional telescopic forks are provided at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear.

At the same time, for braking, disc brakes are available on both wheels with ABS. Apart from this, the bike features a tire hugger, split seat kit and attractive looking LED lights on both ends.

Electric bikes will be able to run at a speed of 95 km/h
For performance, the e-bike will get a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), which produces a peak power of 6.37 kW and a maximum torque of 228 Nm. The company claims that the Disruptor can operate at a maximum speed of 95 km/h.

To power the electric motor, it will get a 3.97 kWh battery pack with LFP technology. It can also be given riding modes and the price will be more than Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
