North East Frontier Railway continues to progress in terms of cargo loading Achi-News

Kolkata: North East Frontier Railway has maintained a steady increase in freight loading and has loaded 0.832 million tonnes (MT) of goods in February 2024. There has been a total increase of 9.183 million metric tonnes in product loading between April 2023 and February 2024 in the year current financial.

More than 10,000 cargo racks have been unloaded under the North East Frontier Railway during this financial year between April and December 2023.

FCI North East Frontier Railway transported goods like rice, sugar, salt, edible oil, fertiliser, cement, coal, automobiles, containers and other goods during the respective months and unloaded them in various goods sheds under its jurisdiction. During the period of December, 2023, 705 racks were unloaded from goods trains in Assam, and 399 racks were loaded with essential goods. In the corresponding month, 93 racks were unloaded in Tripura, 19 racks in Nagaland, 6 racks in Manipur, 6 racks in Arunachal Pradesh and 6 rakes in Mizoram.
