The illegal alcohol trade has grown rapidly in the city. The Excise Department is raising its collar by taking action against small smugglers from areas and settlements with 100-200 and 300 rupees. Surprising information has come out of rural areas. In the last month, the rural police have seized liquor worth Rs 4 crore sent from Indore to Gujarat during the checking. It is clear from this that liquor merchants are selling their goods in huge quantities in Gujarat at high prices. Here, the Customs Department is not aware of this.
