Karnataka BJP government leader and former Union minister V Srinivas Prasad died at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday morning. The 77-year-old leader was hospitalized on Monday. In his honour, the Karnataka government has declared a holiday in Mysore and Chamarajangarh on Tuesday.
Former Union Minister V Srinivas had been suffering from age-related ailments for a long time. When his condition worsened on Monday, he was admitted to the hospital. He died in the morning. After his death, Prime Minister Siddaramaiah said that his last rites would be conducted with state honors. He paid homage to Srinivas’ remains and declared a holiday in Mysore and Chamarajangarh on Tuesday.
Recalling the 15-day meeting, he said that when we met, we discussed politics. He also said that it is very sad to lose such a person. Because he was with him both in the Janata Party and the Congress.
