New rules in honor of Air India.. Achi-News

Tata Group’s Air India has changed its baggage policy. The United Nations has reduced the maximum limit on free baggage allowance for domestic flights. The baggage limit for low-cost travel has dropped from 20 kg to 15 kg. Those who take comfort and comfort plus fare category tickets in economy will now be allowed a maximum of 15 kg of baggage chain.

These new rules went into effect on May 2nd. Air India allows baggage of up to 25 kg. After joining the Tata group, it was reduced to 20 kg. Recently the free baggage limit was reduced to 15 kg. DGCA mandates that a minimum baggage weight of 15 kg must be allowed free of charge. Almost all airlines already follow this limit.

Other companies only allow one charger. Air India allows carrying any number of bags subject to the weight limit. Air India introduced different fare classes last year. Along with Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class, it has introduced three sub-classes namely Comfort, Comfort Plus and Flex. Among these the benefits are different along with the price of the ticket.

If a ticket is taken in the Flex Economy category, the baggage allowance is up to 25 kg. Weight is usually used to save fuel for airplanes. Experts believe that Air India’s new baggage policy will help the company improve its balance sheet.
