But Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar reacted sharply to Nepal’s decision and countered that the truth will never change just because it is printed on the currency note.

Redesign of 100 rupee note
The decision was taken following Nepal Rashtra Bank’s proposal to update the map of Nepal on the 100 rupee notes, said Rekha Sharma, who is also Nepal’s Minister of Communications, Information and Technology. The redesign was approved along with the updated map at the meetings held on April 25 and May 2.
