NAB introduced new SOPs for arresting MPs during investigation level cases.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken the initiative to introduce major changes in its Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the arrest and questioning of parliamentarians.
According to the TV channel, under these revised procedures, the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Chairman of the Senedd will be notified in case there is a complaint against a Member of Parliament Because accusations alone will not be enough to arrest MPs.

Sources said that violation of these SOPs on the part of officers can lead to imprisonment for up to one year and a fine of Rs 10 lakh has been sought by the National Assembly.
