Collector Avi Prasad has sent a proposal to the Urban Administration Development Commissioner to take action against the Chief Municipal Officer, Assistant Accountant Grade-2 and Assistant Grade-3 of Barhi Municipal Council. All three were charged for taking leave without permission, staying out of headquarters and traveling abroad.

The Collector has directed Barhi Municipal Council Chief Municipal Officer Ramshiromani Tripathi, Assistant Accountant Grade-2 Ramesh Tomar and Establishment Branch Assistant Grade-3 Tirath Chaturvedi to look into the issue of unauthorized absence and stay out of’ r headquarters, Vijayraghavgarh Divisional Officer. We were asked to investigate and submit a report.
On which SDM Vijayraghavgarh informed in the report that Assistant Accountant Grade-2 and Assistant Grade-3 along with the Chief Municipal Officer were absent from the office. In the official attendance register, an application for casual permission of the Chief Medical Officer of Barhi was found modified in the name of the Chairman of the Barhi Municipal Council.
The applications of Ramesh Kumar Tomar and Tirath Chaturvedi were also found to be kept in the attendance register. But no request for permission was found during the investigation. Thereafter, the Collector has mentioned in the action proposal letter sent to the Urban Administration Development Commissioner that the Model Code of Conduct for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is in force at present, the District Election Officer has banned all type of holiday in the area.
Also, in accordance with the requirement, two days of occasional leave were given by the head of the department and leave of more than two days was announced by the Sub-District Elections Officer. Three government employees are on leave and outside the headquarters without valid permission, which shows indifference and neglect towards their official duties.
