Kawardah on Wednesday, after intense humidity and heat, there was heavy rain across the district along with strong wind around 3 pm. Trees fell in many villages due to the storm. Also, the electricity supply remains disrupted throughout the district including the city. There are many near Bhagutola village on the Kawardha to Rajnandgaon road.

The rain affected life across the district including the city. More than 50 trees fell on the way to Bagtola. As a result, traffic was disrupted for about an hour and a half. Upon receiving the information, the police station and the city’s traffic team arrived at the village. Where trees have been removed from the road with a JCB machine, traffic can resume. Trees and power poles fell in many villages of Venanchal. Electricity supply was affected in many villages below Kokdur police station due to falling poles.
