A 25-year-old man is hospitalized after a stabbing in the Rosemont-le-Petit-Patri district in Montreal.
The Montreal Police Department (SPVM) received a 911 call at 5 a.m. Tuesday about the incident at the corner of Beaubien Street and 29e Avenue.
“When police arrived at the scene, they located the victim, conscious and injured in the upper body by a sharp object,” said Caroline Cheverfils, spokeswoman for the Montreal police.
He was taken to the hospital, and his life is not in danger.
“A conflict between the victim and the suspect escalated, who fled the scene following the attack,” Chaberfils notes.
A security zone has been set up to allow investigators to tour the site.
There were no arrests.
