Congress president Mallikarjun Kharj launched a major attack on the Prime Minister on Wednesday. He said that Narendra Modi is not appointed as the Prime Minister of the country to do good to the people, but to feed the rich and help them loot the country and exploit the poor. The Congress chief was addressing a public meeting here in favor of his son-in-law Radhakrishna Dudamani, the Congress candidate from Gulbarga Lok Sabha constituency. The vote for this seat will take place on May 7.

Kharj, who represented Gulbarga twice in Parliament, had to face defeat by BJP’s Umesh Jadhav in the 2019 general elections. He is not running in the elections this time. For this he cites his age as well as his role in managing the Congress party at the national level and coordinating with the Indian bloc.

According to him, “Our alliance (India Bloc) of 26 parties is fighting together, which Modi mocks by saying that we have no leader. He says ‘Modi hi to Mumkin hi’. He claimed to have a 56 inch chest.” Kharj asked what should we do with it? Do we need to go to a tailor and get his measurements?”

Addressing a public meeting, Kharj said, “Modi did not become Prime Minister for the welfare of the people, Modi became Prime Minister to feed the rich, help the rich in looting and exploit the poor by listening to the RSS. He does not care about the poor and does not listen to them. Kharj also claimed that President Draupadi Murammu was invited for the dedication of the Ram idol at the Ram temple in Ayodhya after the Congress criticized him for not inviting him and he visited the temple today. The public meeting was attended by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Minister DK Shivakumar and other Congress leaders.
