Wards made to prevent heat stroke

The scorching heat continues in the Gwalior-Chambal region. In such a situation, Nautapa starts from today ie from 25 May to 2 June. The Meteorological Department has already predicted this time that the temperature in Nautapa could rise to 48 degrees Celsius.

In such a situation, the administrative department and area health have also made complete arrangements at their level. The Department of Health has published advice to prevent heat waves. There is a warning not to leave the house without covering the body. Along with this, hospitals have been asked to take steps to prevent heat stroke.

Treatment to prevent heatstroke began in hospitals

To enable the common people of Gwalior to get treatment facility for heat stroke (protection against heat stroke) as soon as possible and in a better way, heat stroke wards have been created in six government hospitals established within the limits of the area. These hospitals include Murar District Hospital, Hazira Civil Hospital, Deendayal Nagar Urban Community Health Centre, Dabra Civil Hospital, Mohana Community Health Center and Bhitarwar. The collector Ruchika Chauhan has given instructions to the Chief Medical and Health Officer to provide the best treatment immediately to the patients coming to these wards. He has said that, bearing in mind the summer season, there should be adequate arrangements for basic facilities for patients and administrators in government hospitals. In the heat stroke treatment wards built in government hospitals, arrangements were made for 2-2 beds, AC/cooler and cold water along with cold sponge, ORS solution, monitors, thermometers, IV fluids and other medicines. In addition, the duty of one medical officer and one member of nursing staff in terms of rotation has been set. The Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. RO Rajouria has directed all health institutions responsible for providing information about symptoms, prevention and treatment of heat stroke to the patients and their attendants who come to all government health institutions. Apart from this, it was also requested to ensure that cold drinking water is provided in all government health institutions, adequate arrangements for coolers and seats for assistants in the wards and sufficient availability of essential medicines in all institutions.
