Guwahati: 46-year-old Gana Kanta Chutia of the All India Trinamool Party (TMC) has filed his nomination from Lakhimpur parliamentary constituency in Assam. Chutia, who hails from Lathiya in Dhammaji, Assam is one of the key members of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC).

According to the affidavit submitted by him for nomination, the total income of Gana Kanta Chutia declared in the Income Tax Return (ITR) for FY 2022-23 is ₹5,11,620.

Also, his total gross value of all overseas assets was declared as ₹33,10,000.
The total value of all the immovable assets of Ghana Kenta Chutia was declared as ₹ 90,00,000 along with ₹ 10,59,000 in liabilities. Gana Kanta Chutia completed his MA in Philosophy from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong in 2002.
