Romeo’s owners saved him from being killed when he was only ten days old.
Romeo lives with his owner Misty Moore in Oregon at Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary.
Bulls are generally used in the fields for plowing or pulling carts for transport. This American Bull has been gaining attention due to its massive size. Romeo is a 6 year old steer standing at 6 feet 4.5 inches. This bull has become the tallest in the world and now his name is registered in the Guinness World Record (GWR).
Romeo lives with his owner, Misty Moore, in Oregon at Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary. The steers are generally referred to as castrated bull calves, raised for their meat in countries such as the USA. But despite Romeo’s size, his owner described the bull as a “gentle giant” and a “big softie”. Notably, Romeo broke the record of the runner-up – Tommy – by more than 3 inches.
Guinness World Record shared this exciting information on X (formerly Twitter). It read, “Meet Romeo, the tallest steer in the world at 1.94 meters (6 ft 4.5 in). Romeo is a 6-year-old Holstein steer who lives at Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary with his man, Misty Moore.”

The clip shows the massive black bull being fed by Misty Moore and looking healthy. A clip shows, Misty has to stand on a tractor to feed the bull and Romeo still looks taller. Near the end of the video, Romeo can be seen standing with the certificate stating that he is the ‘tallest living steer’, awarded to him on December 17, 2023.
According to reports, Romeo had a rough start to his life. Barely ten days old, he was rescued by Misty and Robert Moore from slaughter. The couple had received a call from a person who had rescued Romeo in the first place from a dairy farm. In the dairy industry, the by-products are often male calves like Romeo. Their fate depends on the size of the profit.
Not only his huge height but also his appetite. Romeo eats about 100 pounds (about 45.3 kg) of hay and 15 pounds (6.8 kg) of grain every day. He can drink an entire bathtub full of water.
Romeo loves apples and bananas the most. The owners describe him as a happy, healthy boy and an official world record title holder.
