New Delhi (May 26): A fire broke out at a childcare center in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area late on Saturday night. After this incident, at least 11 newborn babies were removed from there. However, 6 of these babies died during hospital treatment and 5 babies were admitted to hospital.
Delhi Fire Department received the call at 11.32 pm and 9 fire tenders were dispatched to the spot. Officials said 11 newborn babies were rescued from the building.
Delhi Fire Service (DFS) chief Atul Garg said the fire started in the childcare center near Block B of IIT in Vivek Vihar. Garg said, ‘A total of nine fire tenders arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control. 11 newborn babies were rescued from there and admitted to another hospital.

The incident came to light in Delhi on a day when at least 27 people died after a fire broke out in the gaming zone of a mall in Rajkot. At least 12 children are said to be among the dead. The fire started in the gaming area of ​​this shopping center when the center was full. The owner of this gaming domain Yuvraj Singh Solanki and the manager Nitin Jain have been arrested by the police.
