LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has approved revolutionary and historic measures for farmers. It was decided in principle to give 56 types of agricultural machinery to farmers at a subsidy of 60 percent.
In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz, approval was given in principle for the solar tubewell project. Farmers with up to 25 acres of land will have solar systems in 2 years.
During the meeting approval was also given to the program of cooking skins in Punjab. In the first phase, 1200 hides will be cooked at a cost of 10 billion. In the second phase, 7,000 khalees will be cooked across Punjab
1000 laser levelers will be given to farmers in the next 6 months. Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz gave in-principle approval to a number of agricultural projects. Maryam Nawaz said that the federal government will be approached to remove the tax and duty on high-tech agricultural machinery.
