First, everyone was beaten except the disabled laborer for giving false evidence against Ashok Yadav, a resident of Bhadai Bathan, accused of stealing the tire along with the rim of the truck seized by the Manika police station. After this, on May 3, the police took Lallu Ram, Narayan Singh and Vijay Singh in a police vehicle to the Latehar District Court to record their statement under case number 28/2024 under 164. There, before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Shashi Bhushan Sharma, informed the three laborers about being brutally beaten at the police station. After this, the three laborers were again brought to the Manika police station and from Friday night until 8.00 pm Saturday night, the three were again brutally beaten.

Also, on 17th and 18th of May, the police had come to Lallu Ram’s house in Namudag at 5.00 pm to search for him. But coincidentally that day Lallu Ram had gone to his sister-in-law’s house in Revatkala from Manika police station. Due to this act of Manika Thanedar, the entire family of Lallu Ram is forced to live in fear and shock. The laborer’s right thumb was broken due to police beating. In this condition, Lallu Ram will not be able to work as a laborer or do house repair work.

An FIR will be lodged against the accused policeman James Herenz after meeting the families of the victims and obtaining information about the situation. He said that humanitarian repression by the police towards Dalits, tribals and exploited people is not a new phenomenon. During the tenure of Thanedar Bhanu Pratap, there will be many cases like brutally beating a 75-year-old man from Dundu without any crime, conspiring to save bank employee Raunak Shukla by not making legal tax in favor of a small child of Kui village, etc. be discovered. As far as this incident is concerned, an FIR will be lodged under relevant sections against the guilty police officer and the policemen involved in the incident.
