Man wanted on statewide warrant arrested Achi-News

A man wanted on a province-wide warrant in Nova Scotia has been arrested.

In a news release on April 11, police said 36-year-old Daniel Rector of Bible Hill, NS, faces charges of:

  • careless use of firearms
  • possess a weapon for a dangerous purpose (five counts)
  • unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • possessing a firearm knowing that its possession is unauthorized
  • unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
  • interfere with serial number
  • possession contrary to order (two counts)
  • possession of property obtained by crime
  • break and enter with intent
  • robbery (three counts)
  • mischief
  • failure to comply with an undertaking (three counts)
  • failure to comply with an order (eleven counts)
  • fail to attend court (two counts)
  • public mischief (two counts)

In an update on Friday, police said Rector was being held in custody and was due to appear in provincial court in Truro at a later date.
