Malpa: a tourist born in Mandia drowned in the sea
Udupi: A young man who had come on a trip drowned in the sea and died at Malefa beach on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Nagendra (21) from Mandya.
According to the information, Najendra was studying in Bangalore and five people came to Malpa beach for a trip. It is said that while Najendra was playing in the water on Sunday afternoon, he was swept away by the waves.
Immediately the team of diver Ishwara Malpa swung into action and picked up Nagendra. Later he was taken to the Manipal Hospital in his ambulance and it was learned that he fell seriously ill and died on the way.
A case was registered at Malpa police station
