A massive fire broke out in a factory located in the MIDC area of ​​Dombiali in Maharashtra following a boiler explosion. Four people died in this accident, while 56 people were injured. It was reported that the explosion occurred at 13:40 due to the explosion of the boiler at the Amudan chemical plant. Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant said that so far four bodies have been recovered from the spot. Samant said the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. On the other hand, Prime Minister Eknath Shinde announced that the cost of treating the injured will be borne by the state government.

The sound of the explosion sounded far away

An eyewitness said that the sound of the explosion was heard up to a kilometer away. The explosion caused cracks in the glass windows of nearby buildings and many houses were also damaged. The injured were admitted to the local hospital. A senior official in the disaster management department, Yasin Tadavi, says that the sound of the explosion was heard around 1:40 p.m. He also said that after the explosion, the fire also spread to three nearby factories. Smoke and flames could be seen from a great distance.

Eight people were suspended – Devendra Fadnavis

On the other hand, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over this incident. He announced by tweeting that eight people have been suspended in this case. Fadnavis wrote, ‘Teams of NDRF, TDRF and fire brigade were called to the spot. Relief and rescue work continues continuously.
