New Delhi: The ‘Made in India’ chip will hit the market by December 2024. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said this while participating in the CNN-News 18 India Rising Summit 2024 on Tuesday.

The ‘Rising India’ Summit, the fourth edition of CNN-News18’s marquee leadership conclave, is being held in New Delhi on March 19 and 20. Through insightful analyses, thought-provoking panels and visionary speeches, ‘Rising India’ aims ‘ is to explore the multifaceted dimensions of India’s influence across the world and its mantra ‘Leading for the Global Sake’ to seek a just and beautiful future for all.

At this event, the Union Minister spoke about the prospect of chips made with indigenous technology. He also said that the country has now become an electronics hub. India exported $1 billion worth of telecom equipment.

Last week, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnab said that Made in India chips from Tata Electronics and CG Power’s chip manufacturing plants in Dhalera Gujarat will reach the market by the end of 2026. At the plant inauguration ceremony, she said, ‘The chip will first from Dhalera coming out in December 2026. The chip from the Micron factory will hit the market in December 2024. India will be among the top five chip ecosystems in the world by 2029’.

On the other hand, Ashwini Vaishnav opened up about Indian Railways. He said, ‘Before 2014, Indian Railways was being used as a political tool. But the Bharatiya Janata Party government has paved the way for the subsequent growth of Indian Railways in the last ten years’. In the words of Ashwini Vaishnav, ‘The railway employees are very happy with the future plans of Indian Railways’.

They, increase the funding of Indian Railways, make systematic plans for maintenance of railway technology and depoliticize Indian Railways.
