The political temperature in Maharashtra rose even before the Lok Sabha elections were announced. So far, no agreement has been reached on the distribution of seats among the opposition MVA and the parties that make it up have begun to announce the names of their candidates. After Shiv Sena (UBT), now NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) also announced the first list of five candidates. At the same time, Ajit’s NCP faction also fielded Suntra Pawar in the election contest from Baramati Lok Sabha seat.

They got tickets from here

NCP Sharad faction leader Jayant Patil announced this list. He announced that Supriya Sola and Amul Kola were kept from Ramati and Shiror constituencies. While Bhaskar Bhagra was nominated from the Dindori seat of Nashik district and former Congress MLA Amar Khil became the candidate from Wardha. Along with this, Nilesh Lanka, who switched sides from Ajit Pawar’s faction, got a ticket from Ahmednagar Lok Sabha seat. The biggest name in this list is Supriya Sule Meanwhile, Bhaskar Bhagare will be pitted against Union Minister and sitting BJP MP Bharti Pawar from Dindori (ST) seat.

There will be a family battle for the Baramati seat

After the split in the NCP, this time the fight for the Baramati Lok Sabha seat has become bigger. Baramati has traditionally been a stronghold of NCP founder Sharad Pawar. His daughter Supriya Sola is the current MP from this seat, but after the NCP split, the Pawar family is face to face. Now that both groups have announced the names of their candidates, brother-in-law and sister-in-law are pitted against each other. Sitting MP Supriya Sola will have to compete with her sister-in-law (wife of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar) Suntra Pawar.

At the same time, three-time MLA and former minister from Purandar from Baramati Lok Sabha constituency, Vijay Shabtara of Shiv Sena has also announced to contest the Lok Sabha elections. Baramati Lok Sabha consists of six assembly constituencies: Daund, Indapur, Baramati, Bhor, Purandar and Khadakwasla. Vijay Shivtare is popularly known as Bapu in the region and is considered a traditional rival of the Pawar family. Shabtara feels he can benefit from the disintegration in the Pawar family and settle his old score with Pawar.
