New Delhi: An incident which hurt the sentiments of Hindus took place in North Delhi’s Jahangirpuri. The distribution of meat on plates with the picture of Lord Ram has angered the Hindus. A biryani vendor distributes chicken biryani to customers on plates bearing Lord Rama’s picture. The disposable plates were found to have a picture of Sri Rama on them. Hindu Sangathan activists have expressed anger that customers ate non-vegetarian food and threw their plates in the dustbin.

The issue came to light on Sunday when local Hindu organizations noticed a picture of Lord Rama on the plates kept at a biryani shop. After eating the biryani on the plates, it was thrown in the trash. There was a pile of such plates in the trash. Hindu Sangathan workers questioned the seller about this. He also told the police about this.
Police investigation
The police visited the spot and recovered 4 packets of plates bearing the picture of Lord Sri Rama. A further investigation is underway.
