Lord Mahakal was decorated in the form of a king with hemp, dry fruits, sandalwood, jewelery and flowers. After offering the ashes, a silver Sheshnag crown, a silver mundamaal and a Rudraksh rosary were offered along with a flower garland made of fragrant flowers. Lord Mahakal wore fragrant flowers of Mogra and Rose.
Fruits and sweets were offered and a large number of devotees arrived for the Bhasma Aarti and took the blessings of Baba Mahakal. Dust was offered to Lord Mahakal on behalf of Maha Nirvani Akhara. It is believed that after offering ashes, God appears from the formless form to the body.
