Bengaluru: A model code of conduct has been implemented in Silicon City Bengaluru even as elections are announced in Delhi. The Regional Election Officer has ordered to call a meeting immediately and implement the Model Election Code of Conduct.
District Election Officer Tushar Girinath held a meeting of officials and gave important instructions. Instructions have been given to draw the name and photo of the people’s representatives under BBMP. Breaches of the Model Code of Conduct are directed to be monitored.

Also, the officers have been instructed to remove the names, portraits and advertisements of people’s representatives in government offices, government properties and other public places. A warning was given to ensure that there is no flex, poster, banner, posters, wall writings.

Where is this action?
Names and portraits of people’s representatives cannot be included in nameplates installed in drinking water works, parks and other places. Not only that, action was suggested to remove portraits of political representatives on government websites within 24 hours.
