Ahead of the third phase of voting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah campaigned in Durgapur, West Bengal. Addressing a rally in Durgapur, Amit Shah strongly attacked the state’s ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). Interrogating TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, he said that TMC people are collecting the wages of the poor laborers here and giving it to their nephew.
Supporting BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh at the rally, Amit Shah said, “Make Dilip Ghosh win from here once, we will sort these guys out.” Taking a dig at TMC he said, “These people are running Katmani, creating their vote bank by infiltration. Mamata Didi, you should be ashamed, you are encouraging infiltration in the border state and making infiltrators your vote bank.”
On the bus blast in Hooghly on Monday, Amit Shah said that corruption and electoral violence had become common in Bengal. Mamta Banerjee wants to scare. He said that the election committee deployed central forces. Amit Shah told the people that they had no need to fear Mamata Banerjee.
