Lok Sabha Elections: RJD-Congress seat-sharing final in Bihar; ‘Kai’ party got only 9 constituencies Achi-News

Patna: With just a few weeks left for the 2024 Lok Sabha Election, the seat-sharing deal of the RJD-Congress alliance in Bihar has been finalised. There are a total of 40 constituencies in Bihar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is contesting in 26 constituencies. 9 seats have been given to the Congress. The RJD, offering an alliance, decided to cede the Nalanda, Karakat and Arah Lok Sabha seats to the Communist Party of India.

Where does RJD compete independently?

RJD will fight directly with Bharatiya Janata Party in 10 seats including East Champaran, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Araria, Darbhanga, Saran, Ujiarpur, Nawada, Pataliputra, Buxar. RJD is fighting Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas (LJP-RV) led by Chirag Paswan in Vaishali, Hajipur and Jamui constituencies.

Congress in 9 constituencies

Congress will face direct competition with BJP in 5 seats including West Champaran, Patna Sahib, Sasaram, Maharajganj and Muzaffarpur. He will fight with JDU in Kishanganj, Katihar and Bhagalpur.

RJD contest in 26 constituencies

RJD Pataliputra, Hajipur, Siwan, Sheohar, Purvi Champaran, Purnia, Supaul, Gaya, Nawada, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Buxar, Jamui, Banka, Valmiki Nagar, Munger, Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Saran, Darbhanga, Madhuban Ganj, Madhuban Ganj, Ujingabad , fielding its candidates in Araria, Madhepur and Zanjarpur constituencies.

Election information

The first phase of the elections will begin on April 19, and the final phase of the 7th phase will be held on June 1. The election results will be out on June 4. Voting for 102 constituencies in the first phase will be on April 19 Voting will be held on April 26 for 89 constituencies in the second phase, 94 constituencies in the third phase, 96 in the fourth phase, 49 in the fifth phase, 57 in the sixth phase and 57 in the seventh phase.
