But unlike all these political parties, a party called Mera Adhikar Rashtriya Dal (MARD) has been formed. Mard is a Hindi word meaning male. This party does not care about winning or losing elections, it has entered the electoral arena only to be the voice of men and to protect the dignity of men. (MARD has lost its deposits in all the contested seats since its formation in 2018. But its leaders are not worried about losing the election and say they will contest the elections again.

MARD party has released its ‘manifesto’ for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country. “For the honor of sons, men have come to the polls (Beton ke samman me, ‘mard’ utre maidan me),” declared the manifesto. The MARD party has contested seven different elections before. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election in Varanasi and Lucknow, in the 2020 by-election to the Assembly seat of Bangarmau, Bareilly, Lucknow North, Bakshi Ka Talab (Lucknow) and in the 2022 Chauri Chaura assembly election. MARD Party National General Secretary Ashutosh Kumar Pandey said that in the name of women’s safety, we have come to the field to raise our voice on behalf of men who are being harassed and exploited, victory and defeat are not important to us , we can honestly admit that this time too we may lose the deposit.
We don’t have enough resources, but we don’t even take donations from anyone. Our candidates contest elections at their own expense, the advantage of contesting elections is that more parties now come forward to raise men’s issues. This is the purpose of our competition, he said.

Men’s rights are suppressed
The party’s national president Kapil Mohan said, “Men are being oppressed in an effort to empower half the population (women). Our party wants to draw attention to this issue so that people pay attention to it. In the party’s manifesto, the party promised to create a separate men’s welfare ministry and a national men’s commission. “This will help draw up plans that keep the health, safety and dignity of men in mind,” said the Secretary General.
What is the promise in the manifesto?
The party has promised to introduce a Men’s Protection Bill to protect men from being exploited under “laws made for women”. The party has promised to establish a women’s power line and a men’s power line to listen to men’s issues. Mahila Power Line is a helpline that provides immediate help to women in situations of harassment and stalking.

What is the purpose of the party?
