Chennai: The general election (Lok Sabha Election) in the country has started with a bang. Voting will be held in 7 stages in the country. As the notification for the first phase of voting has ended, candidates are filing their nomination papers in several places. Popular actress Radikaa Sarathkumar filed her nomination papers as a BJP candidate from Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu on Monday. In it he has declared his total assets worth Rs 53.45 crore.

75 tola gold, 14 crore loan

In the affidavit, Radhika has Rs 33.01 with her. He has stated in his nomination paper that he has 1 lakh cash, 75 tolas of gold, 5 kg of silver ornaments and immovable property worth 27.05 crores. He also said that he has 26.40 crore of immovable property and a debt of Rs 14.79 crore. Radhika is currently working as the Managing Director of Radon Media Works India Limited.

If we look at her husband Sarath Kumar’s property, the value of movable property is 8 crores and the current value of fixed assets is 21 crores. It is known in the affidavit that there is a loan of 19 crore rupees in his name.

Party merger with the BJP

Recently, Radhika’s husband, actor R. Sarath Kumar had merged his Akhil Bharat Samatva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) party with the BJP. In this move, the saffron party has fielded Radhikaran from Virudhunagar. Voting for this seat will be held in the first phase on April 19. This is the first time Radhika is contesting an election.
