New Delhi (Sports Desk) Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL 2024 title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad. Kolkata (KKR) and Hyderabad (SRH) were the two best teams in IPL 2024. They were top 2 in the points table. So a thrilling match was expected, but KKR managed to reach the most one-sided final in history. Shreyas Air KKR stopped SRH for 113 runs in the first final of the IPL and then won the match in 10.3 overs. KKR have won the IPL title for the third time.

As much as Kolkata Knight Riders players are being praised for this IPL victory, so is their mentor Gautam Gambhir. And it is no mere coincidence that Gautam Gambhir has been instrumental in winning all three IPL titles. KKR won the first two titles (2012 and 2014) under Gambhir’s captaincy. Now that KKR has won the title in 2024, Gautam Gambhir is the mentor of the team.
The final of IPL 2024 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai. Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pete Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first but his batsmen let him down. KKR started picking up wickets from the first over and dismissed SRH for just 113 runs. In this way, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, who scored the highest score in the IPL, scored the lowest score in the final. SRH team could not even play full 20 overs. They fell in 18.3 overs.
