Karachi: Karachi Commissioner Muhammad Saleem Rajput has banned kite flying for 2 months after cases of injuries from flying strings surfaced in the city.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner Karachi, it was said that kite flying has been banned for two months because 8 people have been injured so far due to being hit by kite strings.

On the cases of citizens being injured due to the movement of the kite string, he said that this issue can be very dangerous for citizens.

Commissioner Karachi said that this step has to be taken to ensure the precious life of the citizens.

It should be noted that in some cities in Punjab including Lahore, many citizens have died due to being hit by kite strings, after which the Punjab government has taken strict measures and banned flying kites.
