A Kerala court acquitted three RSS workers in a case related to the murder of a madrasa teacher. The three defendants spent seven years in prison without bail. Kasaragod Chief Justice KK Balakrishnan said in his order that the prosecution could not prove that the accused had any kind of animosity towards the Muslim community. Moreover, the prosecution also failed to prove that the accused had any connection with the RSS.

The matter is of 2017. It is suspected that three RSS workers – Akhilesh, Nidhin and Ajsh murdered Muezzin Muhammad Riyas Malvi (34) and the Madrasa teacher Lachuri inside the Mohuddin Jumma Machuri Mosque. All three are allegedly accused of slitting Hamalubi’s throat.
